The Council approved a bid to build a three-acre dog park at the former wastewater treatment plant site, located at 4905 68th Street. The cost of this project includes demolition/restoration of the current site and construction of the dog park, entrance drive, and 24-stall parking lot. In March of 2022, the City Council approved moving forward with a Community Recreation Complex in Urbandale. This complex could include amenities such as gymnasiums, indoor walking track, indoor playground, community rooms and rental space, general recreation space for programs and classes, senior recreation space, pickleball courts, etc. Learn more.
