All-Inclusive Playground

The All-Inclusive Playground located at Northview Park is designed to provide opportunities for children of all ages and abilities (including those with disabilities) to enjoy using the equipment and participate in fun outdoor activities. The playground surface has a cushioned rubberized surface to help prevent injuries and has a completely flat surface to eliminate any barriers to wheelchair users or visually impaired participants.

There are over 20,000 kids with disabilities in the Des Moines Metro and most playgrounds do not give these children an opportunity to experience the fun and joy of being outdoors with their peers. Thanks to your support, Urbandale Parks and Recreation built an extraordinary, one of a kind inclusive playground for children and families of all needs; enhancing the play experience for all metro residents.

Have you seen the bricks at the playground? For just $300.00 you can choose a message to be engraved on a 4"x8" brick to be installed by the playground. Download the Engraved Brick Donation Form and bring or mail it to our office. You can also register and pay for your brick online. Simply follow the link and click "All-Inclusive Playground Paver" on the left hand side.

WHERE IS THE PLAYGROUND LOCATED?

The Playground is located next to the Urbandale Miracle League field, in Northview Park. Northview Park is also the home of the Urbandale Little League complex, owned by the City and leased to the Urbandale Little League. View the drone video footage flying over the playground!
