Yard waste season was originally slated to begin the week of April 4, but due to warmer weather it will now begin the week of March 28. Yard waste is picked up on a weekly basis on your regular collection day. Please have bags/yard bins out to the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your regular collection day. Please put yard bags/bins four feet away from trash and recycle containers.
Please use the MWA brand Compost Bags, or if you use an off-brand yard bag, you will need to attached a MWA Compost Sticker to the off-brand yard bag.
If you have a yard waste bin, it must have the current 2022 sticker on it. Renewal stickers are $105 and can be purchased at the Engineering/City Hall offices 3600 86th Street, Urbandale, IA 50322, or purchase online at https://www.mwatoday.com/waste-recycling/yard-waste/cart-services/yard-waste-cart-renewal.
