How to Apply

Complete a City of Urbandale employment application online. Online applications can be accessed through each job announcement. You must submit all required materials by the closing date. The city will only accept applications for current job openings and no resumes or applications will be kept on file. Applications and required materials as specified in the job announcement (e.g. supplements, references, transcripts, etc.) must be submitted by the application deadline. You will receive email confirmation of your successful online application. If you do not receive email confirmation your application did not go through successfully, and you will need to apply again.

Please note, all candidate communication will be sent via email to the email address input during the application process. No communication or notices will be sent via postal mail.

Post Offer Requirements

Job offers are pending a driver’s license check, medical examination, alcohol/drug testing, and/or a polygraph/background investigation (based on position). The City of Urbandale complies with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. If offered a job, before starting work with the city, you will be required to present identification and work authorization papers.
