Iowa residents living in Dallas County will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed measure in the November 2024 election that would expand the Dallas County Board of Supervisors from three to five members. The Board of Supervisors is responsible for setting policies, approving budgets, and making decisions that affect Dallas County. The proposed expansion comes as the county’s population continues to grow, which has raised questions about whether additional board members could help improve representation. If the measure passes, the county would establish a process to elect the two new members. If the measure does not pass, the board will remain at three members. Only residents that live in Dallas County Iowa will be able to vote on this ballot measure.
