The Mayor acts as the presiding officer of the Council and does not vote.

Members

The Mayor and the five Councilmembers are the official governing body of the City of Urbandale. The Mayor and Councilmembers are elected to 4-year terms, and there is no limit on the number of consecutive terms one can serve. Each councilmember serves at large, representing all residents in the City.
