The Charles Gabus Memorial Tree Park and Gardens is located in Walker
Johnston Park on 3/4 acre east of the creek, south of the library and
adjacent to the current bike trail.
The Memorial Tree Park and Gardens is a quiet, contemplative place in the midst of a busy urban park. It is a place of beauty, with a variety of trees, flowers and shrubs where one can relax and perhaps think about the many individuals, businesses and community groups who have helped make Urbandale the fine city it is today. The park also features a fountain, benches, an event plaza, and picnic tables for community use.
To help sustain the Charles Gabus Memorial Tree Park and Gardens, a special donation and memorial tree program has been created. Please click on the document link at the top of this page.
We hope Urbandale businesses and residents will consider this opportunity either in their own names, in honor or memory of family members or other special loved ones in their lives.
Your contribution is tax deductible. No goods or services will be provided in return for your gift.
