The Honor Guard is comprised of a select group of officers who train together to present the colors at major city and community events.
The biggest event each year is the Peace Officers Memorial Service which is held during police week in May. The precision and execution of raising the flags is always impressive, along with the movement of the unit during a ceremony. The Honor Guard unit attends about 15 functions a year to perform various ceremonial duties.
