Waterford Road - 156th to 170th


This project provides for the reconstruction of Waterford Road from 156th Street west to 170th Street as a four-lane roadway with left turn lanes including grading, storm sewer and a new bridge. The paving will be portland cement concrete with two 25-foot wide paving sections and a 15-foot grass median. The project will also include the construction of a second bridge over Walnut Creek. The bridge will be built to ultimately provide for 4-lanes of traffic and a 10-foot wide sidewalk on the north and south sides. A trail connection under the bridge will also be provided on the west side of the creek. It is anticipated that this project would be completed by the end of November 2018.

Project Status Update - 7/5/18

Construction has begun.

Contractor is working on grading, instillation of storm sewer, and instillation of the bridge.

Phase 1 - Waterford Road is closure from 156th Street to 165th Street.

Due to recent rains, It is anticipated that Phase 1 will be complete and Phase 2 will begin in late August.

It is anticipated that the contractor will pave Phase 1 from the west side of the bridge up to 165th Street within the next 2 weeks. 

It is anticipated that the contractor will pour the bridge deck within the next 2 weeks. 

All dates are tentative and subject to weather delays
