The Compost It! program recycles accepted yard waste. Yard waste can be placed at the curb for pick-up on your regular collection day during yard waste season. This program includes two types of services, a Standard Service and a Premium Service. Yard waste season typically runs from April 1st - December 1st.
Yard waste is accepted in MWA Compost It! Brand bags or generic bags and bundles with a Compost It! Sticker. Brush and other trimmings should be bundled with a length less than 4 feet, diameter of less than 18 inches, and weigh no more than 40 lbs.

The premium service allows residents to use a convenient, wheeled container to dispose of yard waste at the curb. The carts are emptied weekly on regular collection day during yard waste season. New customers pay a $25 enrollment fee and purchase an annual program sticker to attach to the container. This sticker price covers the cost of the hauler picking up the yard waste for the annual Compost It! season. The 2021 sticker fee is $105.
To enroll in the Premium Yard Waste Program, mail or drop off the Yard Waste Cart Sign Up Form (link below) with your payment to City Hall. Residents currently enrolled in the Premium Yard Waste Program may renew online with MWA or mail or drop off the Yard Waste Renewal Form (link below) with payment to City Hall.
