Project restoration will be reviewed in Spring 2026.
If a full closure is needed at any time, the City of Urbandale will notify emergency services (Police, Fire, Schools, etc) and message boards will be posted prior to FULL closures. (A full closure is when all lanes in one or both directions are temporarily closed.) Informational door hangers will be distributed to residents who are within a 1-block radius of construction, or have no alternate routes in or out of their property because of the full closure.
This project included roadway repairs on Meredith Drive from 86th Street to 104th Street, including pavement patching and an HMA overlay. This project also installed a trail along the north side of Meredith Drive in keeping with the City of Urbandale’s Complete Streets Master Plan. The project contractor is Howrey Construction, Inc. Please continue to check back to this website for project updates.
A public information meeting was held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, to answer residents’ questions about the project. Please see below for the meeting presentation and the detailed location map. The start date for the project was the week of April 28, 2025.
