Urbandale Public Library "The Urbandale Public Library is committed to providing diverse resources for life-long learning and enjoyment." The Urbandale Public Library is owned by the City of Urbandale and governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. The library serves not only the citizens of Urbandale, but also the surrounding Des Moines metro area and contracting cities within the state of Iowa. In the library, you will find over 150,000 items including a variety of print and non-print materials, as well as computers, photocopiers, meeting rooms, study areas, children's programs and more.
