Tree Board

The Tree Board consists of five members who must be residents of Urbandale. Members are appointed by the Mayor, approved by the City Council and serve three-year terms.

The Board meets as needed. Meetings are held at City Hall (3600 86^th Street). Visit the Calendar to view upcoming Board meeting dates, agendas and minutes. Board's Areas of Focus:

• Serves in an advisory capacity to the Parks and Recreation Commission. 
• Submits recommended guidelines to the Parks and Recreation Commission that govern the planting of tree species in public parklands and rights-of-way.
• Recommends an annual tree planting program that is approved by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
• As requested, reviews matters regarding the planting and maintenance of trees on public property and rights-of-way.
