Public Transportation in Urbandale
Urbandale is a member of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART).  DART operates three routes in Urbandale (#4, #12 & #92) and an On-Call demand-response service within five zones.  DART's bus routes cover the cities of Altoona, Ankeny, Des Moines, Clive, Pleasant Hill, Urbandale, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights.  DART's fleet of 90 buses travels over 15,000 miles throughout the Des Moines area daily, making trips to shopping malls, major business districts, residential areas and schools.

Urbandale On-Call (PDF) is a neighborhood shuttle service that provides curb-to-curb transportation within the Urbandale On-Call service area.  The shuttle can take you from the curb outside your home or workplace to the nearest transit stop or other destinations within the On Call service area. Urbandale On Call is bounded by:

• I-80/35 - North                                                                      
• University and Douglas - South
• Merle Hay Road - East
• 128th St. and 132nd St. - West
