Patrol Division 

Division Commander:

Lt Matt Logsdon - (PATROL DIVISION)
Lieutenant Matt Logsdon is the commander of the patrol division. In 1997, Lt. Logsdon  joined the Urbandale Police Department and has served as a patrol officer and detective.

In September of 2002, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant he has supervised as a Patrol Sergeant, as a General Criminal Investigations Sergeant and as a Narcotics Task Force Sergeant. He has served as an operator, team leader and the S.W.A.T./Suburban Emergency Response Team Commander during his career thus far.

On February 8th, 2013 Lieutenant Logsdon was promoted to his current rank, Commander of the Patrol Division. His new position includes supervision of three patrol shifts that provide service to the Urbandale Community.
