Parks and Recreation
The Urbandale Parks and Recreation Department consists of a Parks Division and a Recreation and Community Education Division. The Parks Division maintains and manages over 900 acres of parkland, 36 miles of trails, seven shelter houses, 12 tennis counts, six ball diamonds, ten soccer fields, a skateboard park, and skating ponds. Urbandale Parks and Recreation offices are located at 3600 86th Street in Urbandale. Please note NEW HOURS: Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
