Q: How do I pay a parking ticket?
Parking violation tickets include illegal parking and snow ordinance tickets. If you choose to plead guilty you may pay the fine:
- At Urbandale City Hall (3600 86th Street), Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- By mail. Send your ticket and payment to City Hall, 3600 86th Street, Urbandale, IA 50322
- Online via the City's iCASH portal (note 3rd party fees may apply)
Please note that fines that are not paid on time can be doubled.
If you choose to plead not guilty, you may contest the ticket by contacting City Hall at (515) 278-3900. City staff will provide you with additional information and documentation, which you will need to request a hearing before a judge.

Q: How do I pay a moving violation ticket?
Moving violation tickets include speeding and failure to yield tickets. If you choose to plead guilty you may pay the fine:
- At the Polk County Courthouse (500 Mulberry Street, Room 102, Des Moines, IA 50309), Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Online.
If you choose to plead not guilty, you may contest the ticket by contacting the Polk County Clerk of Court at (515) 286-3917. The Clerk of Court will provide you with additional information and documentation, which you will need to request a hearing before a judge.
It does not matter if you received the ticket in Dallas or Polk County, you can plead guilty or contest the ticket at Polk County.
