Urbandale Fire Department Employment Opportunities

The Urbandale Fire Department is comprised of full-time firefighter/Paramedics and part-time firefighter/ Paramedics and EMT's.  We welcome non-firefighting/EMS personnel to volunteer with our department.  We can always use help with a variety of non-response tasks including marketing, public education, public relations as well as providing rehab services on the scene of an incident.

UFD Firefighters are covered under the Iowa 411 system and full-time members are recruited under Civil Service.  Full-time recruitment opportunities can be viewed at the City's job opportunities page.  Part-time opportunities are filled directly through the UFD.  To learn more about becoming a part-time employee contact Chief Holt at (515) 278-3970.
