Urbandale Economic Development

The City of Urbandale is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of Interstate 80/35 and Iowa Highway 141, in the northwest corner of the Des Moines metro area.  Urbandale is located in Dallas and Polk Counties.  Contact the Department of Community Development if desired Census data, residential statistics, or economic development statistics for Urbandale cannot be located online. 

Economic Development is a partnership in Urbandale between the City, the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

The Des Moines metro area is centrally located within the Midwest.  Urbandale has quick and convenient access to Interstates 80 and 35, which allows Chicago, Kansas City, Omaha, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and other Midwest regional markets to be reached by truck within one day or less.  The Des Moines International Airport allows you to reach either Los Angels, CA or New York, NY in under five hours.
