Urbandale Discount Prescription Program
The City of Urbandale through collaboration with the National League of Cities is proud to provide the Urbandale Discount Prescription Program. The prescription discount card is easy to use and can be used anytime your prescription is not covered by insurance. This is not insurance, but a discount and savings may vary by drug and pharmacy.
- This is a free service and there are no enrollment fees.
- Coverage is for all family members and there is no income requirements or age requirements.
- There is no limit on how many times you can use the card.
- Average savings are 20% and 9 out of 10 pharmacies nationwide participate in the program.
- Pet medications that are also used to treat human condition are covered too.
Where can I get a discount card?
You can pick up your Urbandale Discount Prescription Card at the following locations:
- City Hall (3600 86th Street) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
- Urbandale Public Library (3520 86th Street) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday - Friday & 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday & 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday
- Urbandale Senior Center (7305 Aurora Avenue) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday & 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Friday.
- Urbandale Food Pantry (7611 Douglas Avenue, Suite 31) 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.
