McDivitt Grove Columbarium

The City installed a columbarium at the McDivitt Grove Cemetery in 2008.  The columbarium is an outdoor wall containing niches.  The columbarium’s overall dimensions are 85” length, 58” high, and 36” wide.  The columbarium is granite walled and house 48 niches.  Each niche is 12" x 12" x 11.5" for the placement of urns.  Urns containing human cremations will only be allowed in the columbarium.  

Niches are still available for sale.  Niches are sold on a first come, first serve basis.   

Niches cost $1,100 per niche for Urbandale residents and $1,200 per niche for non-residents.  There is not a restriction on the number of niches that can be bought.  Purchasers must agree to the terms and restrictions set forth by the City of Urbandale.
