JUNIOR DETECTIVES
Junior Detective - Learn to Solve a Crime! (Ages 8-10)
Participants will work with Urbandale Police Detectives and are taught criminal investigative techniques to help solve a mock crime. You will view a burglary and process fingerprints, footprints, and other evidence found at the crime scene. Have fun for three hours with the police officers working in the police lab to compare prints, match footprints with a shoe taken from the suspect, pick a suspect out of a lineup, and more! The class also includes touring the police station and using the lab to investigate and solve the crime. Maximum of 12 participants per session. Snack is included.

R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense for Women)
Rape Aggression Defense - Women’s Self Defense! (Ages 16-80)
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. system is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program.
radKIDS
Since it’s inception in 1998, radKIDS has been committed to providing education that enhances the ability of children and parents to utilize knowledge, skills and power to protect themselves from violence and harm. The 4-week course is taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors from the Urbandale Police Department and the surrounding area. Participants are provided with a workbook/reference manual that outlines the entire Physical Defense Program. The manual is also the key to a lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.
