Mission Statement

We, the members of the Urbandale Police Department, are committed to providing quality and professional police service that promotes a safe and secure community, while affording dignity and respect to every individual.

We are committed to creating and maintaining active police/community partnerships and assisting citizens in identifying and solving problems to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.

The Department recognizes that its employees are the vital component to the successful delivery of police services and will work to achieve our highest potential by actively involving our employees in neighborhood and/ or community problem solving and improving these services.
