Audit Committee
The Audit Committee of the City Council consists of four members, which consist of the City's Treasurer, two Council Members and the Mayor.  The Committee meets to review the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and to conduct other business as needed.  Meetings are held at City Hall (3600 86th Street).  To discuss a Committee item, please contact the Finance & Records Department at (515) 278-3900.

Committee's Areas of Focus:

  • Reviews the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and the City's annual audit.  Works with the Finance & Records Department and the City's Auditors (Eide Bailly LLP) to ensure the City's financial policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations on the City's financial policies to ensure ethics, government transparency and sound business practices.
