City Auction

The Urbandale Police Department conducts two public auctions each year. Normally, these auctions are in April and October. The auctions are held at the Public Works Complex, located a 9401 Hickman Road in Urbandale and begin at 9:00 a.m. sharp. You must produce a current driver's license to receive a bidder's number.
The next auction will be in October 2013.
ITEMS:
The City of Urbandale will typically sell 30 plus abandoned vehicles at each auction. In addition to the abandoned vehicles, we normally sell a variety of bicycles, electronic items, sports equipment, tools and other miscellaneous items. Potential buyers are allowed to view the vehicles beginning at 8 a.m. on the Saturday of the auction. The bicycles and other small items can be viewed at this time also.
PAYMENT:
All vehicles purchased are sold as is and must be removed from City property no later than 8:00 a.m. on the 2nd Monday following the auction. Full payment for items purchased must be received by one hour after the conclusion of the sale. A list of the vehicles to be sold is available at the Urbandale Police Department (3740 86th Street.) approximately one week before the auction and also available on this website.
