About Urbandale Development Association
The Urbandale Development Association is a non-profit organization that works closely with the City and other partners in a public-private partnership. Membership in the UDA promotes and facilitates continued economic growth in Urbandale through enhancement of the business climate. This primary goal of the UDA is advanced through the following Vision and Mission Statements:
Vision: Urbandale will be the premier destination for business and industry in the Des Moines metropolitan region, thus nurturing the financial environment that enables the City of Urbandale to provide its citizens with the most sustainable, livable, and enjoyable quality of life.
Mission: The systematic marketing of Urbandale and the facilitation of economic development initiatives that foster the retention, expansion and attraction of business to the City resulting in private capital investment, job creation, and the strengthening of the City’s overall financial health.
Board of Directors
The UDA is governed by a diverse Board of Directors with 14 volunteer members. The Board develops the Strategic Business Plan and provides oversight.
Strategic Business Plan
The UDA Board of Directors, with input from partners, developed a three-year Strategic Business Plan. As highlighted in the Executive Summary, the Strategic Plan guides the UDA’s program activities, and its relationship with the City of Urbandale and external economic development partners.
UDA Investment Options
The UDA is a public-private partnership. Both public and private entities invest in Urbandale economic development efforts. Current Members of the Urbandale Development Association can be joined by submitting this application.
All investors receive electronic copies of the quarterly newsletter; are listed on the website and in the newsletter; and are invited to attend the annual meeting. Bronze and above members also have a live web link on the website.
