The City of Urbandale will be reconstructing 156th Street from Maple Drive (Clive Border) to Meredith Drive during the 2008 construction season.

UPDATE 5/01 - The City will be closing Ridgemont Drive and Winston Avenue on the east and west sides of 156th Street on May 7, 2008. Aurora Avenue on the west side of 156^th Street will also be closed on May 7, 2008. Traffic will no longer be able to use 156^th Street from Little Walnut Creek north to the south school driveway.  It is anticipated Ridgemont Drive will reopen on July 1st and Winston Avenue and Aurora Avenue will reopen on August 1^st. 

 The closure will allow for the reconstruction of 156th Street with the existing roadway being removed starting on May 7^th.  It is anticipated 156^th Street will be closed from the south school entrance to Tanglewood Drive on June 8th.  A rocked student pedestrian crossing will be maintained just north of Ridgemont Drive through the remainder of this school session.
