If your car has been towed due to a parking violation, please call the Westcom dispatch number, 24 hours per day, at 515.222.3321.

Tickets for parking violations (e.g., illegal parking, snow ordinance) are handled differently from tickets for moving violations (e.g., speeding, failure to yield).

If you receive a parking violation ticket (including a snow ordinance violation):

If you choose to plead guilty, you may pay the fine at Urbandale City Hall, 3600 86th Street, weekdays between 7:00am and 5:00pm.  You may also pay by mail by sending your ticket and payment to City Hall, 3600 86th Street, Urbandale, IA, 50322.  Please note that fines that are not paid on time can be doubled.  For more information, please call 515.278.3900.

If you choose to plead not guilty, you may contest the ticket by contacting City Hall at 515.278.3900.  City Hall staff will provide you with additional information and documentation, which you will need in order to request a hearing before a judge.  For more information, please call 515.278.3900.

If you receive a moving violation ticket in Polk County:

If you choose to plead guilty, you may pay the fine at the Polk County Courthouse, 500 Mulberry, Room 102, Des Moines, IA, 50309.  You may also pay by mail by sending the ticket and payment to the same address.  For more information, please contact the Polk County Clerk of Court at 515.286.3917.

If you choose to contest the ticket, you may do so by contacting the Polk County Clerk of Court at 515.286.3917.  The Clerk of Court will provide you with additional information and documentation, which you will need in order to request a hearing before a judge.

If you receive a moving violation ticket in Dallas County:

If you choose to plead guilty, you may pay the fine at the Dallas County Courthouse, Adel, IA, 50003.  You may also pay by mail by sending the ticket and payment to the same address.  For more information, please contact the Dallas County Clerk of Court at 515.993.5816.

If you choose to contest the ticket, you may do so by contacting the Dallas County Clerk of Court at 515.993.5816.  The Clerk of Court will provide you with additional information and documentation, which you will need in order to request a hearing before a judge.
