At its meeting of February 18, 2003 the City Council approved the 2003 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.  This project would provide for the continuous lining of 2,770 linear feet of sanitary sewer main and trenchless repairs at four locations.  It is anticipated that this work will be completed by June 13, 2003.

The lines to be repaired were chosen based on a review of past television inspections.  The sewer mains were rated for the severity of failures, the structural condition of the pipe, infiltration, root intrusion and line capacity.  The continuous lining, which involves the insertion of a pipe inside an existing sewer main, is planned at the following eight locations:

• 3600 block of 64th Street
• 4000 block of 65th Street
• 3800 – 3900 blocks of 66th Street
• 6600 block of Aurora Avenue
• 7400 block of Prairie Avenue
• 7700 block of Ridgemont Drive
• 3100 block of Elm Drive
• 3900 block of 86th Street

The spot repairs will be conducted at the following locations:

• 6300 block of Meredith Drive
• 6600 block of Douglas Avenue
• 6800 block of Prairie Avenue
• 3900 block of 71st Street

Residents at these addresses should experience no disruptions in service.
