Bent Creek Trail

Project Description

This project will include the construction of a 10’ wide pedestrian trail that will start from the end of the existing 10’ trail that is to the northeast of the intersection of Oakwood Drive and 151st Street (north of Meredith Drive), go through Bent Creek Park and connect to the trail at the 156th Street bridge.  The project will include a bridge over Walnut Creek.

Project Status Update - 11/28/2016

Work was started north of the creek.  Erosion control measures have been set up and rough grading is completed.  Placement of rip-rap along the creek is over 50% complete.  Subgrade preparation is complete and concrete placement is roughly 80% complete.  The pedestrian bridge has been set in place.  Remaining work includes finishing the trail paving, placing additional rip-rap along the creek, restoration, and minor items.  Trails leading to the area under construction will be closed to the public for the duration of the project.  The Bent Creek Trail project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.  Please see the link below for a map of the improvements.
