Office of Professional Standards, Training, Property and Evidence Management.
Administrative Services Commander
Captain Matt Logsdon is the commander of the Administrative Services Division. In 1997, he joined the Urbandale Police Department and has served as a patrol officer and detective.
In September of 2002, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant he has supervised as a Patrol Sergeant, as a General Criminal Investigations Sergeant and as a Narcotics Task Force Sergeant. He has served as an operator, team leader and the S.W.A.T./Suburban Emergency Response Team Commander during his career thus far.
On February 8th, 2013 he was promoted to rank of Captain and made the Patrol Division Commander. This position included supervision of three patrol shifts that provide service to the Urbandale Community. On January 1, 2017 Captain Logsdon was made Commander of the Administrative Services Division.
